Award for excellence Reason
This is a full remake of “Romancing SaGa 2,” which launched in 1993 and became a million seller.
Keeping the battle system, a signature of the series, we newly introduce active time-line battle and the collaboration system. As a result, the game is more strategic.
In addition, considering not only users who played “Final Fantasy“ for the first time as well as original story fans, we reconstructed the game system to make it “easier to understand and play” through the review of the character growth system and implementation of difficulty settings.
In general votes, many gamers talked about “the best remake” and said “I remembered the time when I dug into the game.” In addition, others said “This is the first time to play the game, and I was crazy about it.” That is why the game won the award.
Work Introduction
“Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven” is a full 3D remake of “Romancing SaGa 2,” which originally launched in Japan in December 1993.
This game depicts battles between the ancient “Seven Heroes“ and the successive emperors of the Balenne Empire. While keeping an epic story developed using the Free Scenario System and the revolutionary system of the “SaGa” series, which stands out from other RPGs, including the “inspiration” and the “formation,” we reconstruct the game system so that not only original story fans but also beginners can easily play by introducing the new “cooperation,” reviewing the growth system, and adding the difficulty setting.
In the original work, the vast world was expressed in pixel art. It has been revamped in beautiful full 3D. Leon, Gaillard and the Seven Heroes have evolved into 3D visual with the image of the original work as it is, and the event scene became full voice.

It is a great honor for us to receive such a wonderful award. We would like to sincerely thank all of you. All of the development team is so glad to know our best efforts were rewarded.
The original was very unique at the time: heroes are emperors and generations are changing one after another. We believe it is still attractive and look for playability so that more players can enjoy the game.
