RPG where full-scale action battles are conducted in Valisthea, a continent blessed by the Mothercrystals.
Players control “Clive,” the game's protagonist, and embarks on journeys of revenge to chase Black Ifrit, a mysterious summoned monster, who caused a tragedy.
The game attracted enthusiastic supports over the serious and great story over three generations and a dark fantasy world view and received the award.
Work Introduction
“Final Fantasy XVI” is the sixteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series.
This is a profound and magnificent fantasy world where the fate of the land depends on “Dominants” who control the powerful summoned beasts and their power.
This is a story of Clive Rosfield, who is given the title of knight to become the shield to his younger brother Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant. Before long, he was involved in a great tragedy, swore revenge, and chased “Black Ifrit,” a mysterious summoned monster, who caused a tragedy.
Players controls Clive, who has the power of summoned beasts, to engage in full-scale action battles. Not only Clive’s battle actions but also battles between summoned beasts are playable. These are symbolic to this action battle game. Summoned beasts representing the “Final fantasy” series including Ifrit, Shiva, Garuda, and Titan appear in this game, too.
The game for PlayStation® 5 was released on June 22, 2023. The game for Steam® and for Epic Games Store will be released on September 18, 2024.

All members of “Final Fantasy XVI” Development Team are very pleased to win the Year Division Award for excellence.
This game is the 16th main installment in the series supported by many players. Finally, a PC version was released.
The complete edition was also released, offering two DLC of “Echoes of the Fallen” and “the Rising Tide,” which were well received. Even if you haven't played the game yet, I hope you'll take this opportunity to try it out.
