Award for excellence Reason
The HD-2D version of ”Dragon Warrior III,” one of the most popular games in the series, appeared after uniting dot pictures and 3DCG.
New factors are added: a new job class “Monster Wrangler” and the “Monster Battle Road,” where a lone monster who was saved by a player during a travel.
As the Warrior, the Martial Artist, and other familiar vocations are given “Special Skills,” the Battle Balance has been greatly changed, and the Job Change system is more intricate.
This game won the award because the remake of the immortal masterpiece attracted not only fans who have played the game but also many dragon quest fans talked about “the basics and the top of RPG” and said “I like this game the best in the Dragon Quest series.

■Story
The Hero, a child of Ortega, a brave warrior from the small kingdom of Aliahan, is assigned an important mission by the king on his 16th birthday.
The king tell him to inherit the will of Ortega to beat Baramos, the Demon Lord emerging from the land of darkness.
What is a surprising fate waiting for the hero, who set out on the trip to save the world...!?
■Adventure Companions
Travelers came to “Luida's Bar” to find companions. You can take up to three companions who share adventures with the Hero.
You can choose companions from unique vocations, and can customize their appearances, hair colors, voices, etc. in accordance with your own taste.
In addition, a new job class “Monster Wrangler” appears in this game!
■Setting for Adventures
In the wide field, there are dungeons including caves and towers as well as towns and castles.
If a player gets any vessel such as a ship during a trip, he/she can freely go to seas and rivers and widely expand the adventure range.
■Battles with Monsters
Let’s use a turn-based command battle system like traditional “Dragon Quest” games and fight hot battles with monsters!
The Hero and companions can not only attack with weapons but also use various spells and “Special Skills” according to their vocations and levels.
Let’s earn experience points and gold by defeating monsters and level up the Hero and companions.

All members of Development Team are very pleased to receive the Japan Game Award for Excellence in the Game of the Year Division.
This “Dragon Quest III” title is more influential than our expectation. We were really surprised by huge feedback from players after the start of sales. Again, I am proud of participating in the remake of the title and producing the game with Yuji Horii, the creator of the Dragon Quest franchise.
And the next stories, “Dragon Quest I and II” goes on sale in October 2025 at last.
We believe this game is suitable for the final episode of the series. In this game, not only new foreshadowing details but also plots not told at all in the original game are added. We hope you will look forward to it.
