This is a completely new fantasy RPG in the “fantasy world,” showing battles for the throne after the murder of the king.
An epic story and a fantastic world view, the epoch-making battle system, which achieves both actions and strategies, beautiful sounds in the background and the user interfaces like European drawings, and the overwhelming play volume.
In addition, a variety of tribes with different appearances, abilities, and speculations. Some behaviors are so horrifying that a gamer may want to look away.
The game has a magnificent drama with many strong personalities, attracted a lot of enthusiastic supports and received the award.
Work Introduction
This is a completely new fantasy RPG from “Persona 3,” “Persona 4.” and “Persona 5” creators. The story develops in the world, where magic exists. The world is terrorized by mysterious monsters called “Humans.” A hero is ordered to lift a curse on the Prince, his childhood friend, participated in the election to decide the next King, and sallied into the wide world with companions.
The battle is the epoch-making “Fast & Squad” system, which unites actions and the turn base command battle. Players can enjoy refreshing actions with good tempo and two types of strategic and high tension battles that strike weakness of enemies.
In addition, 40 or more classes of “Archetypes” with unique skills are awakened by forming bonds with supportive followers during the travel. You can enjoy profound and highly customizable battles.
The game sold one million copies on the release day throughout the world. In addition to the Metacritic’s score of 94, it was awarded as the “best game” in the “Best RPG,” the “Best Art Direction,” and the “Best Narrative” divisions at the Game Awards 2024, one of the largest game festivals.

I am Hashino, a creative director of “Metaphor: ReFantazio.” This time, we are very happy to win the Japan Game Awards for Excellence.
This is our latest RPG, which launched the sales about a year ago. This is the first big fantasy RPG for Atlus, and it took long time to develop the game before sending out into the world. At the beginning of the sale, we worried if players would welcome the game, but we were really happy to find many placed high expectations and actually enjoyed the game.
We also express our sincere gratitude to players who experienced Atlus RPG for the first time, and those who placed high expectations and picked up the game after having supported our works and appreciated the past creative works for years. We couldn’t be happier if you liked this game.
It is our greatest pleasure that many people picked up and enjoyed this game though it is a new unknown title. Thanks for your support, we will be able to keep moving forward to the future.
