Ceremony

The Announcement and Awards Ceremony for the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award/Game of the Year Division within the Japan Game Awards used to be held in the event stage in the Tokyo Game Show (TGS). This year, the ceremony will be held in Tokyo at 6:00 p.m., September 23, a Tuesday and a public holiday, as a pre-prenight festival of the “Tokyo Game Show 2025.”

The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, the Breakthrough Award, the Movement Award, the Game Designers Award, and the Awards of Excellence will be announced. And the Grand Award will be selected from Awards for Excellence.

Masters of ceremony (MCs) are Mr. Hikaru Ijuin and Ms. Misaki Maeda, known as the greatest gamers in the entertainment industry.
Special guests will appear, too.
