The latest Japanese RPG "Dragon Quest" series game!

A shocking story develops in which the hero is hunted as "The Darkspawn." The game depicts the adventure of the hero, the original character of the series, with a different impact than ever before. At the end of the adventure when the answers are finally revealed, many players cry.

The game combines nostalgia and newness and can be said to be both a culmination of the series and a starting point for a new Dragon Quest. The game received the award based on comments from many users to the developers such as, "It's the best masterpiece of the series," and "Thank you, I am so happy to have discovered this game."

Reason for the Best Sales Award

The game appeared for the PlayStation 4 with high definition and intense photorealism with a 3D mode and nostalgia-inducing pixel graphics 2D mode, and for the 3DS with a Chance Encounter element.

The game attracted many users due to the way that it makes full use of the features of each platform, and in Japan it sold over 3 million copies in its first week, achieving the highest number of sales during the target period. As a result, Dragon Quest was selected for the Best Sales Award.

You are the hero. Today is your 16th birthday.
To participate in your village's coming of age ceremony, you head off to the top of the local lookout point alongside your childhood friend Gemma. After a series of unexpected events, you learn that you are the reincarnation of a legendary hero from a forgotten age.

Who is this "hero"?

In search of answers, you leave your village and set off into an unknown world. However, rather than being welcomed by the people you encounter, you are called "The Darkspawn" and are destined to be hunted...

It has already been over thirty years since we released the first Dragon Quest.

This game is the eleventh in the series, and all the staff worked together to make it a new start, rather than only a culmination of the series.

It was based on this concept that we decided to invert the early Dragon Quest logo.

Originally the Dragon Quest series started with about 10 production staff, but this number has increased considerably.

When Dragon Quest 1 was released, some of our staff were elementary school students who were fascinated by Dragon Quest, and many had not even been born yet.

The passion of our diverse staff for Dragon Quest is reflected in this game.

We are delighted that the game we developed based on this passion was rated highly by everyone. We would be happy if, when you play this game, you look back on your own 30-year history.
