CESA is proud to announce that public voting for the Japan Game Awards 2007 "Games of the Year Division" is now open. Once again this year, the Japan Game Awards will highlight and honor the industry's leading computer entertainment software products released over the last fiscal year.
The "Games of the Year Division" is now accepting votes for most popular products via postcard, Internet （ HYPERLINK "http://awards.cesa.or.jp/" http://awards.cesa.or.jp/）, and mobile phone ( HYPERLINK "http://awards.cesa.or.jp/m/" http://awards.cesa.or.jp/m/ except AirH). Please select and vote for one product released in Japan between April 1, 2006, and March 31, 2007. We will choose voters who will receive presents by lottery. The presents are travel coupon , game machine, award-winning game, "Tokyo Gameshow 2007" entrance ticket, and 100 pairs of tickets ( for 200 persons) to attend the "Japan Game Awards: Games of the Year Division Award Ceremony" which will be held at "Tokyo Gameshow 2007" 's event stage from 16:30 to 17:30 on Thursday, September 20. Vote closing day is Friday, July 27.
We are also accepting entry applications for "Amateur Divisions" for non-professional original works. The "Japan Game Awards Selection Commitee" (Chairman: Mr.Yourou Takeshi) will choose from applicants the finalist for "Grand Award", "Award for Excellence", "Honorable Mention". A trophy and a prize of 500,000 yen will be awarded to the "Grand Award" winner while "Award for Excellence" winners will each receive 50,000 yen and "Honorable Mention" winners will each confer a shield. The closing day for applications is Saturday, June 30.

All pre-released games presented and exhibited at "TOKYO GAME SHOW 2007" from Thursday, September 20 to Sunday, September 23 can be voted for in "Future Division". We will accept general votes at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2007 venue (only 3 days between September 20 to September 22）. We will choose 200 voters who will receive a set of "Japan Game Award 2007 Future Division" award-winning game and original goods by lottery.
Each award cerremony will be held at "TOKYO GAME SHOW 2007" venue at event stage. Here is the schedule for award ceremonies, "Game of the Year Division": Thursday, September 20 from 16:30 to 17:30, "Amateur Division": Friday, September 21 from 12:30 to 13:30, "Future Division": Sunday, September 23 from 12:30 to 13:30.
We hope that we can spread the splendor and pleasure of Computer Entertaiment, contribute to further development of game industry through the "Japan Game Awards" .

Games produced by non-members of the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association are also eligible.
(Games must, however, comply with CESA ethics codes.)
Japanese version of "Oversea division" 's works are also included.

| Eligible games | All non-professionally produced works regardless of their applicant’s status ( corporate, organization or individual) are eligible for the award. Works that are winners or current or past entrants of other contests (except the previous CESA STUDENTS GAME AWARD) are also eligible for entry as well as fully completed works. ※However, works also entered in other contests which ban multiple contest entries are ineligible (including works whose copyright has been transferred to the organizers of other contests). ※Anyone who receive reward for game production regardless of working for company, department as contracted or freelance or other kind of employment contract will be considered as professional game creator and cannot apply for this division。However, you can apply for game that created when you were still amateur. |
