Reason for the Best Sales Award
The latest title of the much-loved “Pocket Monster”.
It has employed open-world for the first time for the series as well as supporting multiplayer.
Many Pokémon fans are fascinated by enhanced amusement of adventure.
The title won the award for recording the largest sales volume during the target period.
It has sold 7,470,000 units from global simultaneous release on Nov. 18, 2022 until end of June this year.
Reason for the Award for excellence
The first open-world title for the “Pocket Monster” series.
Run over the prairie and desert, travel on the water, and glide from the mountain top at a breath riding on a legendary pocket monster “Koraidon” and “Miraidon” in Paldea Region.
The title received the award because it gained support from many Pokémon fans including man and women from four-year children to 70-year adults.
Work Introdution
“Pocket Monster Scarlet/Violet” is the first completely newly created title in three years after “Pocket Monster Sword/Shield”.
It globally sold 10,000,000 units in total in three days after the release and achieved sales volume of 22,650,000 units as of the end of June, 2023.
This title is the first open-world RPG for the “Pocket Monster” series.
You can freely have adventure in the world of Pokémon expressed with open-world to see Pokémon anywhere in the sky, sea, woods and town that live in seamlessly extending nature and town.
You can enjoy a new adventure style without order determined by the story in the field where you can run around.
The game is designed so that it is enjoyable for everyone from children to adults keeping the real pleasure of the “Pocket Monster” series such as “collecting”, “exchanging” with friends, “playing a match” in battle, and “growing” raising experience level.

It is really a great honor for us that this title is chosen from among a lot of games for “Award for Excellence” and “Award for Best Sales”.
We of the development staff strived every day to create “Pocket Monster Scarlet/Vilet” employing open-world for the first time for the series, and adding many new elements such as “Terastal” that makes Pokémon shine like a jewel, “Picknick” to stay with Pokémon, auto-battle system “Let’s Go” to enhance the existing game in all areas including scenario, graphics, sound, game system, and so on.
Adventure in an open-world gives freedom of “travel” which is the real pleasure of “Pocket Monster” to enable you to be absorbed deeply in the world of the game, didn’t it?
