Reason
A sequel of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” a global smash-hit game.
The game starts a few years after the incident at Baker house.
Ethan Winters, who returned from the incident, lives happily with his wife Mia and their beloved daughter Rose.
But their happy life comes to an end when Chris Redfield, a BSAA squad leader, storms the house.
To save his kidnapped daughter, Ethan goes into the jaws of death again.
Visual effects, wind sound, and creaking sound of the house are created in the smallest details. This game is packed with terrors expressed by using every element.
This game won the award, gaining supports on the massive grant storyline beyond the category of horror game from many users, who said “I couldn’t help crying at the shocking story in the last scene.”
Work Introdution
“Resident Evil Village” was released in May 2021. The survival horror has a plenty of volume and the unique world views while maintaining the series’ appeal of conquering fears with wisdom and courage.
Like its predecessor, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil Village, “Ethan Winters” is the protagonist. The story takes place in a village governed by evils and insanity. He goes into the jaws of death to save his beloved daughter. In the village, “Mother Mirranda,” the ruler of the village, and her unique four lords are waiting for Ethan/player with death traps.
This game packed with various tastes of terror was supported by many game fans and won lots of awards.
On October 28, 2022, an additional DLC “Winters' Expansion,” which contains 3 contents. New hardware expansions and the release of PlayStation®VR2 version were also announced.

Following “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” “Village” depicts a desperate action of protagonist Ethan Winters with a concept of “desperate survival horror action.” This horror entertainment has players enjoy a game experience with various horror tastes in a “village,” another protagonist, in a sense of immersion.
We cannot tell the way of life of Ethan as a father in this game without tears. The Development Team has never been happier because many players take into their heart Nathan as an irreplaceable protagonist in the Resident Evil series as well as the impressive new horror experience.
We would like to sincerely thank all players of “Village,” all voters who selected it for the Award for Excellence, and all fans who always support the Resident Evil series.
In the future, we will continue to create interesting games worth playing to further evolve the series.
