Congratulation for the award!
This is a highly accomplished, atmospheric and tasteful adventure game.
The use of light is good and impressive. The operation procedure and the way the game is played are well explained without using words. I like it.
To tell the truth, it was the presence of the “cat” in this game that was debated by the selection committee members in selecting award winning games.
I won't go into the specifics because I want you to experience this game for yourself, but at least I felt it was a very nice and new desirable factor in the game in a way.
Let's keep creating new entertainment in our industry!
Noriaki Okamura, Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.
In this game, the sound of the theme is the “sound of falling rain.”
In a world where light is lost and rain continues to fall, a robot and a cat met each other by chance and travel to regain light and greenery in this action-adventure game.
A player uses an umbrella with a mysterious power obtained during the journey to revive wilted plants and trees.
Resurrected plants and trees shed light and help robots make their way.
The theme sound is treated as the "sound of falling rain,” and a negative worldview is constructed from the incessant rain and raging wind.
Although the robot and the cat traveling together do not show any facial expressions, their movements somehow evoke a warm bond between them.
There are no words in the game other than operating instructions, and the sound effects are minimum, such as the sound of running water and the occasional strong rain, to create a unique worldview with a limited amount of expression and a full of sense.
