The biggest reason why I recommended this “Hoshi Pin (Star Pin)” is its “accessibility”.
The operation is wonderfully simple. Only left click! I am sure this game will be released at Tokyo Game Show. There, those who touch this game for the first time at the venue can immediately operate it, feeling its good tempo and comfortable operation.
A simple operation will naturally find mechanics peculiar to the game such as finding constellations and shining pins by energy.
In addition, the game is well designed: at first, the game is so simple that the player can advance stages quite easily. But from the middle, various gimmicks are added to gradually make the player feel joy when he/she can do action operations well and when mechanics are cleared.
UIs and graphics are politely crated. If more expressions and world views can be added to heighten the sense of immersion, it could be still better.
I hope the developer will create games enjoyed by many people in the future. I expect a bright new future.
Hiroshi Tanibuchi, Executive Director, Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.This is an action puzzle game: a player operates a star, which keeps on whirling to complete a constellation along a pin.
Sometimes, the star can get energy from a pin and when the star’s corner touches a pin, the player can click to go along the pin. Pins have various features: always moving pin, one with warp ability, colored-pins sticking just the same colored ones, and collapse pin, which cannot be returned after using once. Pins with various unique features are used to create a constellation.
I had a pleasant feeling when I can move along with the pin in good timing. A simple operation, which realizes the play only by left click, and straightforward rules enable everyone to easily play and enjoy himself/herself.
