Work Introdution
PlayStation®VR(PS VR) is a virtual reality (VR) system that enhances the attraction of PlayStation®4(PS4®) and further enriches the game experience. When a player wears a VR headset, Vigorous 3D space surrounds him/her from any direction of 360° and powerful 3D space is created. The overwhelming sense of reality is created through the interlock with the unique 3D audio technology and brings about the experience as if a player enters the game world. Furthermore, in the “Cinematic Mode”, you can enjoy movies, YouTube, Nextflix and other contents in 2D as well as software titles for PS4® on a very powerful screen in the virtual space.
As of February 19, 2017, the number of software titles and contents for PS VR is over 100 in the world. Developers and the World Wide Studios (WWS) of Sony Interactive Entertainment have developed more than 220 attractive contents of wide-genre game titles and contents taking advantage of VR features and offering new video experiences. By the end of 2017, 100 or more contents out of them will be released.
