Work Introdution
This is an action shooting game, featuring squad-based combat with two opposing teams of six players each. The “roleplay” and the “team play” are keys.
The setting is the near future Earth. Twenty-five individual heroes with their own weapons and abilities fought battles in distinguishing stages all over the world.
Overwatch stresses the importance of “team plays” and successes of each “role” are important as shown in MMORPG. As each hero clearly has his specialty, it is natural to attain coordination with team mates.
In many “FPS” and “TPS” games, the more opponents a player defeats, the higher evaluation he/she gets. Yet Overwatch is conscious of other beneficial tasks of each role: how many attacks are repealed and how many team mates a hero heals. All heroes and all players can undertake various types of active roles.
