Reason for the Award for Excellence

The award was given to this title for the support of many users who reported it is very interesting and intriguing, is thrilling with a good balance between excitement and distress, and for the pleasant feeling of sucking up the ghosts.

Work Introdution

Luigi Mansion is a new title for the adventures the slightly cowardly Luigi takes in mansions full of ghosts.
The three dimensional look of this title has a truly real feeling.

The stage for this title is several mansions with a wide range of variety. With the Poltergust 5000, a bizarre machine like a vacuum cleaner, Luigi goes around subduing the ghosts. The ghosts that appear in this title are not scared just by having light shown on them.

You have a chance to capture them if you surprise them using the new Storbulb function of the Poltergust 5000 and then sucking them into the Poltergust 5000!

In this title, the game is played out by Professor E.
Gadd asking Luigi to go on missions.
Each mission is short, so the title can also be played for just short time intervals.

The communication play supports up to 4 players.
Players work with their friends near or far to subdue the ghosts and reach the top of the tower.

Comment of the game producer

This title is a collaboration between Nintendo and
Next Level Games of Canada.

It was developed through the process of trial and error as the staff of the development companies worked together to think about what should be done with Luigi Mansion, for which more than 10 years had passed since the previous title was released, and what should be done to take advantage of the characteristics of the portable 3DS.

Multiplayer, one of the features of this title, could not be realized in the previous version, so we absolutely wanted to add it this time. We think this game is fun as everyone works together to keep trying to reach the top of the tower, so we would be most happy if inexperienced players will also play the game.

This year marks the 30th anniversary since the appearance of Luigi. Receiving this award in such a commemorative year adds another flower to the “Year of Luigi,” so all of the development staff are quite happy.

Thank you very much.
