Work Introdution

The Nintendo DS software Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 was released on June 23, 2012 and is staged in a world 2 years after the events that took place in Pokemon Black and White that was released in 2010.
This title provides a new adventure based on the mystery of the pokemon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem that appeared in the first version.

Not only is the story new, but there is a variety of popular new functions, such as Pokemon Studies that lets the player take part in making films involving pokemon and the Funfest Mission communication function that allows up to 100 people to play together.

This title can also be linked with the Nintendo 3DS download software Pokemon AR Searcher.
The pokemon that are captured with that software can be brought into this title and used in the game, which is a new aspect not found in previous Pokemon
series.

I am very pleased to receive this award.

This is the first time we have tried a sequel with the Pokemon Series and it is also the first time that we have attached “2” to a game title and created 2 titles.

This title includes an enhanced scenario developed from Pokemon Black and White and the very attractive characters after two years of time has passed.

Various new elements, such as Pokemon Studio and Pokemon World Tournament, have been added, so this is new software rather than just a sequel.
Director Unno and the staff worked as one on this project. This is a major reason we were able to receive this award.Thank you very much.

In this title we enhance Pokemon as a communication tool by providing many ways to play that utilize communication, such as the Festfun Mission and Key System.

There were some difficulties, but it was the desire of the entire staff for this title to lead to wider use across generations and new interaction, so receiving this award is a great honor.
