Work Introdution
This title began with the start of service for the PC version in July 2012 with the concepts of unlimited adventure, the pinnacle of online RPG action, ultimate character creation, and a borderless RPG to allow a wide range of people to enjoy the fun and surprise of online play.
Since then, the title has been updated nearly monthly to provide a service where players can continuously enjoy an adventure full of surprises. In July 2013, the new chapter Episode 2 was released and features the appearance of new tribes, classes, weapons categories, etc. The game has been very popular over its first year, such as the number of registered IDs exceeded 3 million.
Service for a smartphone version, Phantasy Star Online 2 es, is also scheduled to start during 2013, and it will be possible to share the play data across all platforms.

So I am very thrilled that after many years PHANTASY STAR ONLINE has again been honored by the Japan Game Awards with the Award for Excellence.
We are undertaking a variety of challenges, such as spreading online games to more people, the new business model of free-to-play, the form of existing online games, and a cross platform between PC and PS Vita and the success these initiatives have seen is due to team members that have worked so hard and the fans that have supported us.
We will continue applying our full effort to these challenges so that PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 can be enjoyed for an even longer time and ask you for your continuing support.
