CESA GAME AWARDS /Presentation Ceremony

On October 28, 2002, "The 6th CESA GAME AWARDS" presentation ceremony was held at Hotel Ohkura in Minato-ku Tokyo.

This year a total of 10 awards were presented for the "GAME AWARDS 2001-2002". The awards were for 1 Grand Award, 6 Awards for Excellence, and 3 Special Awards. In the new category, "GAME AWARDS FUTURE", 15 pre-released games were selected for the Awards for Excellence.

	Future of "CESA GAME AWARDS"

During the opening of the award presentation ceremony, Mr. Hideki Sato (Vice Chairman of Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association) addressed his appreciation to the participants as well as the intention of the "CESA GAME AWARDS" and the award selection procedures. His speech was concluded with the applause and cheers to all the participants.

Commencement (excerpted)

"CESA GAME AWARDS" has been held annually for 5 times as "CESA AWARDS" or "JAPAN ENTERTAINMENT SOFTWARE AWARDS" in order to show the appreciations to the computer entertainment software developers and industry. This year with new name "CESA GAME AWARDS", we have renewed its contents hoping that the recognitions will provide the motivation for software developers to stimulate further growth of their businesses.

This year, we have selected 1 Grand Award, 6 Awards for Excellence, and 3 Special Awards of total 10 awards for the "GAME AWARDS 2001-2002" as well as the 15 pre-released games were selected for the Awards for Excellence for the "GAME AWARDS FUTURE" held in Tokyo Game Show 2002.

Each award winner was selected by CESA Game Awards Selection Committee with the consideration of the results from the general voting.

We hope "CESA GAME AWARDS" will contribute the success of the future entertainment software business and industry.
